Vzduch Jan ér Novák, born in 1989 in the Czech Republic, is an artist who blends photography with delicate brush strokes or futuristic light lines. In the early stages of his work, he painted entire stories into his photographs, but as these often drew too much attention away from the image itself, he discovered two clean and elegant techniques that subtly enhance and highlight the essence of the artwork.
He is the recipient of several prestigious international awards and a pioneer of this unique visual approach. Each piece is also a carefully crafted physical object – larger works are framed behind top-quality museum glass in minimalist oak frames, always featuring his signature bottom-right corner made from exotic wood. His artworks are released as limited editions and are never reproduced once the series is sold out.
Beyond art, Jan is a passionate athlete and lover of the mountains, surfing, CrossFit, and movement in general. He has been dedicated to photography since 2006.
